Postdoctoral Positions

We welcome ambitious postdoctoral applicants with fellowships and/or a strong publication record in neuroscience, cell and molecular biology, computational biology, or related fields. Leadership experience and a passion for mentoring college students are required. Candidates with coding skills are preferred.

PhD Positions & MS (research track)

Graduate school applications should go through Boston University (BU). We do not address direct inquiries during the application period. Kindly reach out to the programme directors of your department of interest if you have any questions and refrain from emailing the PI. International applicants with fellowships must apply through BU to be considered. All applicants may mention their interest in our lab in their application package without the PI's consent.

Candidates for lab rotations and research positions are only considered after they have accepted the offer from a training programme at BU.

Accepted students are welcome to contact the PI and other members of the lab.

Undergraduate Research Positions

Recruitment for undergraduate freshmen, sophomores, and juniors (in their 1st semester only) for directed study takes place on a rolling basis. Directed study includes research for credit, UROP, Honours/Senior thesis, and Senior Design Project. A minimum commitment of 2 consecutive semesters is required. Students should fulfil ≥16 hours of training per week during the spring and fall semesters and ≥20 hours per week in the summer. Applicants are shortlisted for a 4-week probation period based on grades of B+ and better in STEM subjects at BU. Recruitment is determined after completing the probation.

Candidates for UROP and Honours thesis must have trained in our lab for at least 1 semester and receive an A for their directed study course. A strong commitment to research training is required. We do not accept volunteers or work-study students.

All Terriers may apply. Please attach your unofficial transcript.

Volunteers, college students from other institutions, or international interns/observers (who are not affiliated with any BU-approved programmes) are not accepted due to safety and compliance reasons. Kindly refrain from contacting the PI.

We welcome talented and committed undergraduate students from other institutions who are shortlisted for NSF-REU and other full-time summer programmes sponsored by BU.

Applications from all high school students and interns (e.g., RISE, Boston area schools, private foundations and programmes, parents) are no longer accepted. Kindly refrain from contacting the PI. (Updated Fall 2023)
